Radio Show: September 27th, 2009 // Cure found for the “Summertime Blues”

Sebastian Tellier

Eddie Cochran, were he alive today, would surely retract his assertion that there “ain’t no cure for the summertime blues” when he heard the delights that this (and many other) summers have yielded. Given the protracted periods of balmy weather this autumn has given us, Matt and Dionne decided to respond in kind by recapping this summer’s best, and reliving some from summers past. That means a little ray of Passion Pit, a bright Phoenix remix, some sun-kissed Knightlife, and of course, no summer is complete without the inevitable Yacht, Tanlines, a lovely Sunrise (courtesy of Yeasayer), some Golden Silvers and a honey-voiced, slightly-too-hairy French lothario in Speedos (Sebatian Tellier on this occasion).

So slap on some factor 30, roll out the towel and soak up the radio waves (probably keep the sweater on though; it is almost October after all).
