Radio Show: July 5th 2009 // Independents Day plus Festival Goolies!!!

With Matt back in the coup after his Glastonbury jolly (he doesn’t like outdoor living) we’re reunited like two peas. Little did Matthew know a little gift in the form of song was awaiting him for our opening track. Flashback to a little known place called 1981 – that’s his birth year. He won’t thank me for that. Anyway, on the show this week, we salute Independent’s Day (not the Federal holiday but instead the international celebration of independent music across the globe!), salivated at the artists scheduled to appear at LOOP and Latitude 09 which are the next festivals for the diary (Note to Matt: get a waterproof tent), and rubbed our thighs with glee at the new Discovery release (album of the week). Of course it wouldn’t be right without some rare cuts from the king himself, Mr Michael Jackson.
