Radio Show: June 28th 2009 // LOOP 2009 Preview!!!

June 28, 2009

Matt’s ditched the (radio) wife in favour of mud and slush at Glastonbury, so instead Dionne invites her new squeeze to join her for a special LOOP Festival preview. Andrea Fox from Breakfast on Juice 107.2 provides the glamour and professionalism, whilst Dionne maintaines the shambolic ethos of the show as they fumble around for two hours playing LOOP performers exclusively. With a scattering of technical blunders (we have a faulty CD player, honestly!) they manage to lurk around the likes of Telepathe (we like their t-shirts), Joakim (handsome, apparently) and James Yuill (Andrea’s premier crush). All very relevant, obviously.

Radio Show: June 21st 2009 // Daddy’s Day Spesh!!!

June 22, 2009

Jarvis Cocker

Dionne and I had a great time doing this show. We had in mind not only that it was Father’s day, but that my actual Daddy was in the studio with us. Dionne honoured this momentous event in her usual (in)appropriate manner by playing I’ve Got A Thing For You Daddy by Ruth Copeland. Thanks for that Dionne. We also played a few father favorites, including the peerless Fleetwood Mac, Jarvis Cocker (in his new dadrock mode) and my Dad’s new favorite band, the Whitest Boy Alive.
